Room 10 and the whole school have been skipping to raise awareness for Jump Rope For Heart. This was a great day when everyone from Wattle Grove Primary had an opportunity to skip through different stations, while raising money for Jump Rope For Heart. But, best of all, everyone had a great time. We would like to thank Mrs Oliver and Mr Sherlock for this day day. The school raised over $5000. Room 10 students have been working hard to come up with some fantastic skipping tricks over the term.

During Term 2, we have been learning about Tropical Rainforests. This has included the animals, plants, layers of the rainforest and human impact on the rainforest. It has been interesting to learn about the different rainforests on Earth. It is amazing, how humans have destroyed so much of this wonderful land. Through the destruction made by humans, we have lost many  animals and plant species. The students' in Room 10 have made fabulous posters as well as including technology by creating a powerpoint about a chosen animal living in the rainforest they selected for their project.
It has been extremely informative and we have all enjoyed listening to the presentations by the students. I would like to say, well done to you all .

Every Friday after lunch, Rooms 10 and 23, collaborate and work on  their BTN. (Behind The News) This is a program designed for school students catering information on the latest current affairs, which are happening around Australia and the world. The students' have learnt about the many different talents of children their own age around Australia. There has been stories about climate change, different types of energy, bullying and how to be cyber smart. Each Friday the two classes work in Room 23 and discuss the issues which are current for the fortnight. Many students' have commented about this collaboration time and have enjoyed the opportunity to express their opinions and thoughts about the topics with other students.

During Term 2, students from Room 10 along with students from Room 23, have been working in the school vegetable garden on Fridays. The students' have planted a variety of vegetables and Passionfruit plants. They are hoping to have a feast with their vegetables, sometime during Term 3.
